Sarah offered me a super fun experience while trying to create head gear for my grandson, who was to play Pumbaa in a school production of Lion King. I have been sewing since I was 5, and I can’t visit a fabric store without bringing home a new project, or three (and buttons… I’m addicted to buttons!).

I have years of experience as a freelance costume designer for theater and film, a college professor in costume design and fashion history, an illustrator, a jewelry designer, and a private fine arts instructor. My love of design, sewing, drawing, and art history led me to earn an MFA in Costume Design at UCLA in 2006.

The only thing I love more than building my own clothing, accessories, and home decor is building a love of sewing in you. I can’t wait to work with you!
